Multi-residential architecture

Our architecture team are at the forefront of multi-residential property development in Tasmania, both through our own property development projects (up to $20M) and through our years of multi-residential project experience.

Making more out of a site

Multi-residential developments come with plenty to consider. The design needs to respond to the site and planning requirements, achieve the right returns, meet the budget and, importantly, create homes people will actually want to live in.

Our experience in the multi-res space extends across apartments, townhouses, adaptive reuse and social housing, ranging from smaller developments through to large, multi-million-dollar projects. We work with developers, landowners and housing providers from early site investigation and feasibility through to design, approvals, documentation, tendering and contract administration.

Having undertaken our own property developments too, we not only talk the talk, but also walk the walk. We understand the commercial aspect to a development and know we have to work through site constraints to make informed decisions early, before they become expensive ones.

BAM

When the building, brand and marketing are developed separately, it usually shows (and more importantly, the end result is never as strong as it could be).

Through our BAM (brand + architecture + marketing) approach, our disciplines work together to create a development that feels connected and cohesive. This work can include strategic work, such as defining the project’s goals, competitive advantages and its target market, which can inform the masterplanning and design of the development itself. Then, our team can also assist with naming the development, positioning the project, developing its visual identity, and delivering the website, sales collateral, content and marketing campaign. Combining both our architectural and graphic design skills also leads to a finished project with well-considered wayfinding and a better user experience all round.

It’s an approach we’ve used across numerous multi-residential projects, including Avila, Jack, Saint Lofts and Ingomar, which helps our clients move with confidence from an initial development idea through to a clear and considered market offering.
